Even the FDA used to be against adding fluoride to tap water back in the day. After 'Our Friends' bribed crack head scientists to print lies about the desirability of fluoride in drinking water, they found a lobbyist named
Donald Rumsfeld who got it passed into law through bribes of key committeemen using funds supplied by Alcoa Aluminum Co. Fluoride is compound waste by-product formed by the smelting of bauxite ore in the production of aluminum. There are tons of fluoride made daily that needed disposal. Some goes into drywall production, the rest has to be discarded. Yes, fluoride is the active ingredient in rat poison. It is rumored that Nazis even used fluoride to cause apathy of the people of the concentration camps.(I don't know if that is true) but the fact that fluoride causes apathy is pretty sure. Some towns in the USA have banned fluoride...I would make sure that you find out whether your water supply is poisoned. If it is and you don't want to drink it look into an option of filtering the water via reverse osmosis....Or if you can convince your community then ban it.
